Created with the original dial colors of the OG DW5000C, this full-metal piece requires a time-consuming forging, cutting, and polishing process. The bezel top is finished beautifully with a hairline treatment and the beveled edges with a mirror finish for maximum textural beauty.
G-Shock's uses buffering components made of fine resin between the stainless-steel bezel and case and employs a three-pronged lug for the band connection to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The stainless-steel case also features the same screw-lock construction as the original to ensure a tight seal.
Dimpling applied to metal band pieces reproduces the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK. And the fact that the watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made, brings the whole design full circle.
